Now photographed at 36 Megapixels!

Thea is one of the first models photographed with our new, higher resolution camera. The photos were taken at 36 megapixels (before cropping). This allows for even more extreme detail when zooming in on photos. This is up from our previous maximum of 21 megapixels. We're also finding the new camera has a greater dynamic range; allowing for deeper shadows and brighter highlights without losing as much detail in those areas. Take a look at these two for comparison, first with the 21MP camera then with the new 36MP:

Thea appears closer to the camera (as shown by her eyes, nose and mouth appearing larger). The pores are clearer and the fine hairs on the face are more visible. The dark areas are rich without losing detail. It's an imperfect comparison, taken at different times with different models in different poses and lighting, but hopefully it gives the idea. We'll do a direct comparison with the next model.

New Claire Session Available

Claire's first session is now available. It's a large download, including 33 poses, much more than one typical session set but it was just a little too few to break into two sets. The result is a large collection of varied poses at a bargain price per pose. All her poses are also available individually in the Pose Tool, for regular purchase or using Credits. Several sets include close-ups. Be sure to check those out using "Show All Angles" in the Pose Tool. Or the link in the bottom left of the preview window that opens when you click a thumbnail on the Session Downloads page.

New Model Claire

Claire has a good range and was very easy to work with, trying every pose we gave her. She did a variety of material; everyday poses, poses with muscle tension, classical, and some edgier poses that people have been requesting (not included in the initial sets). See her work in the Pose Tool.

New Model IrinaV

We recently had the privilege of working with a very talented new model. She has many years of ballet training and worked professionally as a ballerina in a European ballet company. That experience gives her a poise, posture, and grace that is truly awe inspiring to see. She brought pointe shoes and did some wonderful poses illustrating classic ballet positions. She also did some more free-form poses. Without the shoes, we did several poses in a more traditional art class style.
In addition to her ballet skills, she is also an accomplished contortionist, which inspired a variety of unusual and interesting poses that we've never been able to do before. Much more will be coming soon. For now, a few of IrinaV's poses can be found in the Pose Tool while we are working on editing more.

New Model DanM

People have been asking for additional male models, and we finally have a new one. DanM has some experience with fencing (with a sword) and we like to use each model's unique experience when possible in a shoot. As a result, there are many poses with weapons. For the people who ask us not to do poses with weapons, there are also many sets of classical, every day, and action poses in the shoot.

New Models Elenas

Elenas is a fair-skinned redhead with wonderfully strong features and a natural beauty that make her a terrific Art Model. The first of her sets being posted were requested by a sculptor working on a project in bronze. For now, elenas' poses can be found in the Pose Tool.

Art Models Ultra - Becca

Several people have requested the Ultra Disk as a download. We've been reluctant because it is a large set (4 GB) and we don't want people to run into problems with the download. However, we have had increasingly large downloads and they seem to be working out better than they used to. We've also found that breaking large files into a number of smaller ones that finish faster has helped reduce problems. As a result, the AM Ultra-Becca session is now available as a large (12-parts) download. It can be found on the Session Downloads page.
