New Model PepperK

We did a mix of poses with Pepper that take advantage of her naturally thin yet muscular figure (similar to longtime Art Models model Susan). You can see the poses as we finish them in the Pose Tool.

New Claire Session 2 Available

Claire's second session is now available. It's even larger than the Claire 1 download and includes 36 poses, but like Claire 1 it was also just a little too small to break into two sets. The result is a large collection of poses at a bargain price per pose.
Caution:
We always try to respond to customer requests and as a result, several poses in this set could be considered risqué, for example, 231, 232, and 236. If you might find any of those offensive, please skip this download!

Now photographed at 36 Megapixels!

Thea is one of the first models photographed with our new, higher resolution camera. The photos were taken at 36 megapixels (before cropping). This allows for even more extreme detail when zooming in on photos. This is up from our previous maximum of 21 megapixels. We're also finding the new camera has a greater dynamic range; allowing for deeper shadows and brighter highlights without losing as much detail in those areas. Take a look at these two for comparison, first with the 21MP camera then with the new 36MP:

Thea appears closer to the camera (as shown by her eyes, nose and mouth appearing larger). The pores are clearer and the fine hairs on the face are more visible. The dark areas are rich without losing detail. It's an imperfect comparison, taken at different times with different models in different poses and lighting, but hopefully it gives the idea. We'll do a direct comparison with the next model.

New Claire Session Available

Claire's first session is now available. It's a large download, including 33 poses, much more than one typical session set but it was just a little too few to break into two sets. The result is a large collection of varied poses at a bargain price per pose. All her poses are also available individually in the Pose Tool, for regular purchase or using Credits. Several sets include close-ups. Be sure to check those out using "Show All Angles" in the Pose Tool. Or the link in the bottom left of the preview window that opens when you click a thumbnail on the Session Downloads page.

New Model Claire

Claire has a good range and was very easy to work with, trying every pose we gave her. She did a variety of material; everyday poses, poses with muscle tension, classical, and some edgier poses that people have been requesting (not included in the initial sets). See her work in the Pose Tool.

New Model IrinaV

We recently had the privilege of working with a very talented new model. She has many years of ballet training and worked professionally as a ballerina in a European ballet company. That experience gives her a poise, posture, and grace that is truly awe inspiring to see. She brought pointe shoes and did some wonderful poses illustrating classic ballet positions. She also did some more free-form poses. Without the shoes, we did several poses in a more traditional art class style.
In addition to her ballet skills, she is also an accomplished contortionist, which inspired a variety of unusual and interesting poses that we've never been able to do before. Much more will be coming soon. For now, a few of IrinaV's poses can be found in the Pose Tool while we are working on editing more.

New Model DanM

People have been asking for additional male models, and we finally have a new one. DanM has some experience with fencing (with a sword) and we like to use each model's unique experience when possible in a shoot. As a result, there are many poses with weapons. For the people who ask us not to do poses with weapons, there are also many sets of classical, every day, and action poses in the shoot.

New Models Elenas

Elenas is a fair-skinned redhead with wonderfully strong features and a natural beauty that make her a terrific Art Model. The first of her sets being posted were requested by a sculptor working on a project in bronze. For now, elenas' poses can be found in the Pose Tool.

Art Models Ultra - Becca

Several people have requested the Ultra Disk as a download. We've been reluctant because it is a large set (4 GB) and we don't want people to run into problems with the download. However, we have had increasingly large downloads and they seem to be working out better than they used to. We've also found that breaking large files into a number of smaller ones that finish faster has helped reduce problems. As a result, the AM Ultra-Becca session is now available as a large (12-parts) download. It can be found on the Session Downloads page.

New Model Anastasia

Anastasia is originally from the Ukraine but is visiting New York. She recently traveled to New England (coincidentally with Candace, another model with whom we have worked) which gave us the opportunity to work with her. We are very glad she did! Anastasia is a very talented model who thoroughly understands art modeling. So much so, she designed almost all of her poses and improvised her expressions. Having a model with so many wonderful creative ideas was a real pleasure. It allowed us to throw away our pose plan and just go with her ideas.
In addition, she has a slightly different figure from many of our models, giving her a wonderfully natural look that adds variety to our catalog. Her face is very classical, reminiscent of Classical Greek sculpture, 30's era film stars and, not surprisingly, current Eastern European stars like Mila Jovovich (also Ukrainian). Because Anastasia had new ideas as fast as we could photograph them, she has a huge collection of poses from her one session, as seen here in the Pose Tool.

New Model MonikaS

For people interested in the appearance and form of the body in pregancy, we have another maternity model. When we shot in March, she was due in May. Because MonikaS is ordinarily so petite (5' 6" and just 108lbs), she provides a really striking example of the changes while carrying a baby. In particular, you can see the increase in the size of her stomach and chest while everything else, like arms, legs and face, remains slim. When we worked with our other maternity model, Carolyne, we intentionally chose many poses that were not typical for a pregnant model. For this shoot, however, we focused on traditional maternity poses.

More MikaM

We try to answer customer requests whenever we can, so we were happy to work with Mika, a model specifically requested by a customer. We also did several poses that the customer wanted (mika017, 018, and 019). He sent a few quick sketches as a reference. You can see those poses and all of Mika's other work in the Pose Tool.

New Model Krystal

As previously mentioned, people have been asking for more variety in body types. Last year we photographed several people who do not have the extra slim body type of a typical model. Krystal has a more natural "average person" figure, with several marks left from pregnancy. We had her do a wide variety of poses from ordinary everyday activities (krystal010 and krystal028) to the more artsy poses (krystal012, krystal013) and some more contrived poses that show the body in a variety of configurations (krystal039, krystal041). Krystal can be found in the Pose Tool and will soon have two session downloads.

All Adrina Photos Available

We recently completed Adrina's entire first session and her poses are now available in the Pose Tool page. They will also soon be available in the Session Downloads page.

Art Models 7 Companion Disk Available

The Art Models 7 Companion Disk is now available for download. This is our largest Companion Disk to date and includes 175 poses! At just $24.95, it's possibly the lowest price per pose of any product we have offered to date. The physical disk can be found on this page . You can see all the included poses at either of the two pages.

New Model JenC

People have been asking for more variety in body types. We heard you, and last year photographed several models who do not have the typical model extra slim body type. With Art Modles 7 mostly complete, we have been able to concentrate on editing some of those models' photos. JenC can be found in the Pose Tool and will soon have two session downloads.

We've hit a new milestone—Art Models eBooks are now available in the Apple iTunes store! Because they contain nudes, I thought it would never happen. But there they are (you can see them in the iTunes index here).

Art Models 7 is now available for download
(right-click and save) in a low resolution preview. The design is based on customer requests and the discussion at the Live Model Books Forum. New Model MikaM

A customer wrote to us about a model he works with as an artist's model and requested that we hire her for the Art Models project. She happened to be traveling to the greater Boston, MA, USA area and was willing to work with us. Happily, she was just in time to help us with some poses we needed for Art Models 7.

New Male Models

By popular request, we have two new male models. Mark is a professional body builder who,
of course, has the 'heroic male' figure. Dave is an actor and brings intensity and emotion to his
posing. We did motion studies with both of them as well as a few of our rotational figure studies. More of their work will be made available as we finish editing it, which will happen after we finish the next book, Art Models 7 Dynamic Figures for the Visual Arts. Many of their poses that do not contain full rotations are available for a reduced price. Hover over a pose thumbnail in the Pose Tool to see the price.
